Open Letter To Job-Seeking Youth of India Why They Should Vote for Narendra Modi

Dear  Job-seeking Youth of India,

The Lok Sabha elections are around the corner and the time has come to choose the next Prime Minister of the world's largest democracy. It is important to make the right decision and choose the right leader if we want our country to progress. The biggest question is whom should we vote?

Since the past few months the political scenario of our country is all heated up. All the political parties are busy campaigning, political debates are going on, everywhere people are discussing who should win the elections and be the next Prime Minister, etc. All these can be overwhelming and confusing you at the same time, especially when you are burdened to earn your bread and butter. Therefore, before deciding whom to vote, it is important to take a look at the performance of the current government and the progress India has made in the last 4 years.

Unemployment has always been the biggest problem in India. This has been a concern since decades. But what did the previous as well as the present government do to address it. Let's have a look at the various aspects and analyze whether you (the job-seeking youth) should vote and re-elect Mr. Narendra Modi.

If we go by the pre-poll promises made by Mr. Narendra Modi, about 8.4 lakhs jobs should have been created; however, as per the updated EPFO payroll data released in January shows a monthly average of 4.90 lakhs only. Although, the government has not been able to create jobs as they had promised a good number of jobs are created every month. As per the Bureau of Labor Statistics report, unemployment figures have been published, which indicates the past as well as the present unemployment rate. Below is the National Unemployment Rate from 2008 to February 2019 -

NATIONAL UNEMPLOYMENT RATES | 2008 - 2018
 Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics

This chart will definitely give you are clear picture of the past as well as the present condition of the country. The unemployment rate has without any doubt has reduced, and how did the employment rate go down from 7.7 in February 2013 to 3.8 in February 2019?

It is very important to understand that a Government who has just been in power for 5 years, cannot change the condition of the country in such a short span. They have been doing their best to create as much job as possible by introducing different schemes such as Make in India, Startup India, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Yojna, Financial Assistance for Skill Training of Persons with Disabilities, Skill development for minorities, Green Skill Development Program, Scheme for Higher Education Youth in Apprenticeship and Skills, etc. to name a few.

The Make in India initiative was launched by Prime Minister in September 2014 as part of a wider set of nation-building initiatives. Under this initiative several manufacturing units, and small and large scale industries are being set-up, which is giving employment to a number of youth.
The Startup India Scheme is an initiative of the Indian government, the primary objective of which is the promotion of startups, generation of employment, and wealth creation. It was launched on the 16th of January, 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Skill India campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 July 2015 which aimed at training over 40 crore people in India in different skills by 2022. This initiative by the Government will help in making us Indians skilled and will help in getting employment as well as provide them opportunity for self-employment. Skill India initiative has different schemes Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Yojna, Financial Assistance for Skill Training of Persons with Disabilities, Skill development for minorities, Green Skill Development Program, Scheme for Higher Education Youth in Apprenticeship, etc.

All these schemes have already helped a lot of people in getting jobs and probably by 2022, more jobs will be created and the unemployment rate will be reduced remarkably. However, this will not be possible if you do not vote for Mr. Modi and make him the Prime Minister of the country.

What if you don't vote for Mr. Narendra Modi and make him the Prime Minister of the country again? Here are few points that will answer this question -

1.       Today India is moving towards becoming a 5 trillion dollar economy. Did any of us ever imagine this 4years back? This is a great achievement of the country. Do you think that it will be possible if the opposition comes to power? The answer is a big "No". If it would have been possible for them, India would have already been such a huge economy.
2.       Did any of us ever though that India would rank 77 from 142 in Ease of Doing Business? Obviously "No". It became possible only after Mr. Modi came into power.
3.       Did any of us ever imagine that the unemployment rate will decrease just in 4 years? Obviously we never thought about it.

These are just a few points; however, if we delve deeper and compare the government that was 4 years back and the Government under the leadership of Mr. Modi, we will see the difference. If you do not vote for Mr. Modi, it is for sure that India will go back to the place it was 4 years back. If you do not give him another chance, the development that has happened in last 4 years will come to a standstill. You will still be fighting against corruption, you will still remain unemployed, the country's GDP will go down like earlier and India will again be in debt.

It is time to vote for development and betterment of the country.  So, vote wisely!

Thanks,

A responsible citizen of India
